What this is
Where You Stand asks about you, your organization and what you can actually change, and ends in a job: one of seven responsibilities you could take on with AI right now. EXPLORE, PROVE, PROTECT, TRANSLATE, REDESIGN, INSTITUTIONALIZE or DELIMIT.
The four names along the way, Doomers, Gloomers, Bloomers and Zoomers, come from Reid Hoffman and Greg Beato's book Superagency. We brought them down from the future of civilization to the staff meeting. They are the way in, not the answer: everybody has all four in them, and which one shows up depends on the meeting.
How it decides
The short version is an equation: you, times your organization, times your agency, toward your goal, equals your job.
The longer version: it looks for what is actually stopping movement toward your goal, the binding constraint, and picks the job that does the most about it within what you can change. When it is not sure enough, it says so, and your job is to find out more: EXPLORE, for now.
What counts as evidence
Every claim on your result says how many of your answers it rests on. Nothing resting on fewer than three is shown at all, and the stronger the claim, the more it needs. A reading is what you told us at one point in time, not a verdict.
More AI is not the goal
No job is the advanced one. DELIMIT, deciding where AI does not belong, is as good an answer as any other, and becoming more pro-AI is never counted as progress.
Who wrote it
Every question, every line of your result and every joke on the share card was written or approved by a person. Nothing is generated while you take it.
Your answers are private; the privacy policy says exactly what is kept and for how long.
